Fuerteventura host the V edition of the Atlantic Hall of Logistics and Transport SALT 2014, that as of November 19 will be held in the facilities of the Technological Park of Fuerteventura. The president of the Cabildo of Fuerteventura, Mario Cabrera, met yesterday with the director general of Transport of the Government of the Canary Islands, Rosa Davila, to advance preparations for this international meeting of transportation. The meeting included a visit to the bioclimatic building of the Technology Park, alongside the technical team of SALT. Also attended by the Minister for Transport, Natalia Évora, and the Minister for Economic Development, Manuel Miranda.
The Salon is organized by the Cluster Canario Transport and with the collaboration of the Canary Islands Government, through the program of actions to enhance the connectivity between the islands and southern Morocco, which in turn is part of the Operational Programme of Cooperation External Borders–Spain border.
Rosa Davila explained that the connectivity to Africa, especially through Tarfaya, will be one of the central themes of this edition of SALT. Also said that “a number of African countries have confirmed the presence of delegations, but have also shown interest in participating delegations from other countries such as Germany, Turkey and Bulgaria, who value opportunities Canary Africa as a business platform.”
For his part, President of the Cabildo, Mario Cabrera, said that “by holding Africagua by the Chamber of Commerce and is specifically focused on clean energy and water desalination, Fuerteventura SALT become an essential meeting place and institutional business with African countries
