Given our desire for professional excellence, we decided to expand our business areas towards other activities different to the construction sector and, therefore, diversified the business areas into the services and concessions sector.



As a construction company specialising in building and civil engineering, we want to strengthen our position in the Canary Island Archipelago and create a development model that is in line with current times.

In all of its projects, ARCOIN SL applies the most modern and effective methods of work to provide a quality product, paying special attention to its commitment towards sustainability, natural resources, the urban landscape and the environment.

To do so, ARCOIN SL has established a Comprehensive Quality, Environment and Occupational Risk Prevention System, in line with the directives included in the UNE-EN-ISO 9001, UNE-EN-ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 Standards.


With the arrival of the financial crisis, we have attempted to diversify our business by focusing not only on the construction sector. Concessions is a strategic challenge for the future that stabilises company growth

Therefore, the management of public infrastructures and services through concessions is a proven model of efficiency for ARCOIN SL that meets the needs of the public sector in the Canary Island Archipelago. Proof of this is the success of the new tenders awarded, their funding and the management and implementation of concessions already underway.


We signed an Administrative Concession with the Local Council of Puerto del Rosario for a School for children aged from 0 to 3 in which ARCOIN, S.L. has invested €775,492 in facilities and is responsible for its operations for 50 years.

Our facilities are located in the centre of the town of Puerto del Rosario (Fuerteventura), are easily accessible and include 700 square metres exclusively for the School.

The Las Hormiguitas School has different classrooms that are adapted to suit each age group, each with the necessary material depending on its level.

All of our facilities, including the 200 square metre-plus playground, have different play areas organised so that children can have fun and learn completely hazard-free and with no limitations with regards to movement.

The School includes:

  • Sleeping area for ages 0 to 1
  • Toilets for ages 0 to 1
  • Office for ages 0 to 1
  • 3 classroom for ages 1 to 2
  • Toilets for ages 1 to 2
  • 2 classroom for ages 2 to 3

  • 1 Psychomotility classroom
  • 1 multi-purpose classroom/ dining room
  • Kitchen
  • Playground
  • Head teacher’s Office
  • Sick bay

We provide permanent employment in this project to a total of 15 people, including the Headmistress, Teachers, Kitchen Assistants and Maintenance Personnel.


The services sector, particularly maintenance and cleaning, has been the option we have chosen to open up new business lines.

In 2010, we classified as services contractor in different fields:

  •  Building maintenance and preservation
  •  Mountains and countryside maintenance and preservation
  •  Caretaker´s lodges, the control of public access and the information to the public
  •  Deep thorough cleaning service
  •  Nursery schools management

When it comes to maintenance and preservation, we have signed contracts with diffferent branches of Bankia: Bankia habitat, bfa Bankia and Sareb.

In addition, we were hired by both the bank Caja Siete, for the upkeep of all its offices in the province of Las Palmas and Sumasa, a company in charge of the upkeep and repairs of Caixa´s assets and premises.

We also signed a contract with Canaragua, the concession holder providing the complete water cycle for the town hall of Pájara. That company trusted us for the maintenance and preservation of its equipement and premises
